The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will consider the Resolution on invalidation of results of the voting for the Law of Ukraine on Kryvyi Rih city mayoral election, which will allow the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada to sign it.
Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman said this in his opening speech at the Conciliatory Council meeting on Monday, January 25.
"We will consider this issue tomorrow. It is number one on the plenary meeting agenda as it had been planned earlier. It will mean that the Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament will obtain an opportunity to sign this Law. I will do that in compliance with the legislation," he noted.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada reminded that at the end of 2015, the Resolution on invalidation of results of the voting for respective Law was registered, which made its signature by the Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament impossible.
At the same time, Groysman expresses readiness to sign the Law on snap city mayoral election in Kryvyi Rih as soon as the Verkhovna Rada considers this Resolution to enable the Ukrainian Speaker sign this Law this Tuesday.
Groysman deems that people's deputies failed to accurately inform the activists about the legislative procedure and obstacles that did not allow the Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament to sign this Law.
